What's new in MyStuff2
MyStuff2 is a major new version of My Stuff. While it is true that anyone that has purchased the original My Stuff will have to pay again for MyStuff2, I believe the following list of improvements more than justifies the cost (not to mention My Stuff has had free improvements for 2 1/2 years).
- Easy transfer of existing data from any installed version of My Stuff.
- Full iPad support.
- Barcode scanning
- Add new items by scanning barcodes with the camera or existing images.
- Add new items by manually entering barcode numbers.
- Populate barcode attributes.
- Product search integrated with Amazon.
- Scan a barcode and item information is filled in from Amazon.
- Type in keywords and select matching products. New items will be created with product data.
- Select multiple matches to quickly add related products.
- New attribute types:
- Contact - Pick people from your Address Book.
- Rating - Give items a rating. Configurable for 1 to 10 stars.
- Barcode - Scan a barcode and have the resulting code stored in the attribute.
- Term - Like Duration but values are in years, months, and/or days.
- Bulk editing supported from any item list screen.
- Select any number of items in a list.
- Apply the value of one or more attributes to all selected items.

- Calculated attributes can now reference other calculated attributes.

- Specify which attributes to search.

- Multiple filters can be applied to an item list.
- Filters can be more flexible by prompting the user for values when the filter is applied.
- Filters on date or time attributes can be based on criteria such as "today", "yesterday", or "now".
- Filter attribute values based on being unique or not.
- Item list sorting updates:
- Sorting by a Time attribute now groups items together by hour.
- Items can now be sorted using Location, Note, and Yes/No attributes.
- Added ability to sort items by their last updated date.

- Option to display item images before or after attribute values.
- Setting for Safe Item Viewing. When on you must tap Edit before item values can be changed.
- Pick from three color schemes.
- User definable word prefixes to ignore when sorting data.

- Emoji symbols can be used in place of category color dots.
- Categories can now have their own passcode protection.
- Categories can be marked as read-only preventing any changes to any items in the category.

- Actions can now have multiple phases each with its own set of attributes.
- Actions can be applied to items any number of times (or define a per action limit).
