The Sorts screen allows you to change the order of the displayed items.
The set of sorts are specific to the current category, location, or action. You can create one or more saved
sorts to make it easy to reuse sorts you may use often. Or you can use the Quick sort to quickly sort
the current item list in a new way.
The Sorts screen has a button to clear the current sort. Below this is the Quick Sort section. The last
section is the list of saved sorts, if any, you have created. A summary of each sort is
displayed below the name of the sort.
- Clear Sort
Tapping the Clear Sort button removes any applied sort from the current item list and returns the list to the
default display order (alphabetical by item title).
- Create Quick Sort
If there is no quick sort for this item list then tapping the Quick Sort row takes you to the
Edit Sort screen.
- Edit Quick Sort
If there is an existing quick sort for this item list then tapping the blue chevron icon to the right of
Quick Sort takes you to the Edit Sort screen allowing you to change the
definition for the quick sort.
- Apply Quick Sort
To apply the current quick sort to the item list you tap the Quick Sort row.
- Save Quick Sort
If you decide that the current quick sort is a sort you want to reuse again you can save it as a named
sort by tapping the Save Quick Sort button. This will bring up the New Sort
screen allowing you to give the sort a name and make further changes as needed.
- Add Named Sort
To add a new named sort you must first enter edit mode by tapping the Edit button. Once in edit mode you
tap the Add Sort row to bring up the Edit Sort screen.
- Edit Named Sort
To edit a named sort you must first enter edit mode by tapping the Edit button. Once in edit mode you tap
the sort to edit bringing up the Edit Sort screen.
- Delete Named Sort
To delete a named sort you must first enter edit mode by tapping the Edit button. Once in edit mode you tap
the red delete icon to the left of the sort to delete. Then tap the Delete confirmation button. Tap anywhere
else on the Sorts screen to keep the sort.
- Reorder Named Sorts
If the Auto Sort Sorts setting is turned OFF on the Settings screen you can
manually order your named sorts. While in edit mode you can use the reorder handle to the right of each
sort to move it within the list as needed.
- Apply Named Sort
To apply a named sort you must be in view mode. If in edit mode tap the Done button to return
to view mode. Tap a sort to apply it to the item list.
The following settings affect the Sorts screen:
- Auto Sort Sorts - If ON then sorts are automatically displayed in alphabetical order. If OFF you can
sort the sorts in any order you want while in edit mode.
